Description The TPIC6C595N is a robust 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register with power DMOS open-drain outputs, designed by Texas Instruments for driving inductive and high-current loads. It integrates a shift register and storage register, allowing efficient serial data input and parallel output control in digital systems.

The device features eight low-side open-drain outputs capable of sinking currents up to approximately 100 mA per channel, making it suitable for directly driving loads such as relays, solenoids, and LED arrays. Its outputs are designed with DMOS transistors, ensuring low on-resistance and reliable switching performance.

The TPIC6C595N operates with a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and supports standard TTL/CMOS logic levels, enabling easy interfacing with microcontrollers, PLCs, and digital logic circuits. The serial data is clocked into the internal shift register and transferred to the output latch, providing synchronized output updates.
