| Description | The TM1637 is a dedicated LED display driver IC designed for controlling 7-segment displays and key scanning applications. It operates with a supply voltage of 3.3 V to 5.5 V and uses a simple two-wire serial interface (CLK and DIO), reducing MCU pin usage. The IC supports up to 6 digits with 8-segment output (including decimal point), features 8-level brightness control via PWM, and has an internal RC oscillator, power-on reset, and automatic blanking function for stable operation.
Mechanically, the device is available in SOP-20 and DIP-20 packages, enabling both surface-mount and through-hole designs. It integrates segment drivers (open-drain outputs) and grid drivers internally, eliminating the need for external components. The compact package and minimal external circuitry make it ideal for digital displays in applications such as clocks, timers, household appliances, and industrial control panels. |
