| Description | The 10M08SAU169C8G is a high-performance non-volatile FPGA from Altera (Intel FPGA), belonging to the highly integrated MAX® 10 FPGA family. Designed for industrial automation, embedded control, communications, instrumentation, and intelligent interface applications, it combines programmable logic, integrated Flash memory, analog functions, and embedded processing capabilities within a single device. The device provides approximately 8,000 logic elements (LEs), 130 user I/O pins, and 387 Kbits of embedded memory, offering an excellent balance of logic density and integration for medium-complexity FPGA designs. Its integrated Flash configuration memory enables instant-on operation without requiring an external configuration device, simplifying PCB design and improving system reliability. Operating from a single 3.3V power supply architecture, the MAX® 10 family significantly reduces power sequencing complexity compared to conventional SRAM-based FPGAs. Integrated on-chip configuration storage also improves system security while reducing overall component count. The 10M08SAU169C8G includes a built-in 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), allowing direct acquisition of analog signals for monitoring, measurement, power management, and industrial control applications without requiring an external ADC. This feature simplifies mixed-signal system design and reduces BOM cost. Multiple PLL clock management resources, high-speed embedded memory blocks, hardware multipliers, configurable I/O standards, and advanced routing architecture enable implementation of high-performance digital signal processing, communication interfaces, and custom hardware accelerators. The device supports a wide variety of industry-standard interfaces including SPI, I²C, UART, LVDS, GPIO, and custom parallel buses. Development is fully supported by Quartus® Prime, allowing designers to implement HDL-based designs, embedded soft processors, custom IP blocks, and digital signal processing functions. The integrated Flash architecture enables secure field updates and reliable long-term operation in embedded systems. Packaged in a compact 169-ball UBGA package, the 10M08SAU169C8G provides excellent logic density while minimizing PCB area. It is suitable for automated assembly and compact multilayer board designs requiring high I/O density.
