| Description | The ADXL326BCPZ-RL7 is a compact, low-power 3-axis analog MEMS accelerometer manufactured by Analog Devices (ADI). Designed to measure acceleration along the X, Y and Z axes, it provides continuous analog voltage outputs for motion sensing, vibration monitoring, impact detection and embedded measurement applications. The ADXL326 features a nominal ±16g full-scale acceleration measurement range and a typical sensitivity of 57mV/g at a 3V supply voltage. Its ratiometric analog outputs allow acceleration data to be acquired using the analog-to-digital converter of an external microcontroller or data acquisition system. The device provides three independent analog outputs, XOUT, YOUT and ZOUT, enabling simultaneous measurement of acceleration along all three axes. Measurement bandwidth is adjustable using external capacitors, with maximum bandwidths of 1600Hz for the X and Y axes and 550Hz for the Z axis. The ADXL326BCPZ-RL7 operates from a 1.8V to 3.6V supply voltage and consumes approximately 350µA typical supply current. Its low-power design makes it suitable for portable electronics, battery-powered equipment and continuously operating sensor systems. Unlike digital accelerometers, the ADXL326 uses analog voltage outputs rather than I2C or SPI communication. This simplifies integration into applications that already provide analog measurement channels and allows developers to select the required ADC resolution and sampling configuration. The accelerometer is supplied in a compact 16-lead LFCSP-LQ surface-mount package measuring 4 × 4 × 1.45mm, with a 0.65mm terminal pitch and an exposed pad. The manufacturer package designation is CP-16-5a. The device supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is RoHS compliant. Typical applications include industrial vibration monitoring, robotics, motion-controlled electronics, shock measurement, impact detection, equipment condition monitoring, portable instrumentation, acceleration data acquisition and embedded sensor modules.
