Description The TPS61088RHLR is a high-performance synchronous boost (step-up) DC-DC converter developed by Texas Instruments, designed to deliver high power density and efficiency in compact embedded and portable applications. It integrates both the power switches and control circuitry, enabling a complete power solution with minimal external components.

This device operates over a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 12V, making it ideal for systems powered by single-cell or multi-cell lithium batteries. It supports an adjustable output voltage from 4.5V up to 12.6V, allowing flexible power design across various applications.

The TPS61088RHLR features a powerful 10A internal switch current capability, enabling it to deliver high output power while maintaining compact size. It achieves high efficiency levels of up to approximately 91%, reducing power loss and improving thermal performance in demanding applications.

The converter uses an advanced synchronous rectification architecture with integrated low-resistance switches, improving efficiency and eliminating the need for external Schottky diodes. It also supports adaptive constant off-time peak current control, ensuring fast transient response and stable output regulation.

The switching frequency is adjustable between 200kHz and 2.2MHz, enabling designers to optimize between efficiency and component size. Additional features include programmable soft-start, selectable PWM/PFM modes, and peak current limit control, providing flexibility for different system requirements.

Designed for reliability, the device includes protection mechanisms such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown, ensuring safe operation under abnormal conditions. It operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for industrial environments.

Encapsulated in a compact 20-pin VQFN surface-mount package with exposed pad, the TPS61088RHLR is optimized for high-density PCB layouts and efficient heat dissipation.
