| Description | The BDW94C is a high-voltage PNP Darlington power transistor from STMicroelectronics, designed for applications requiring high current gain and efficient high-side switching. It integrates two transistors in a Darlington configuration, providing very high DC current gain (hFE), which allows large load currents to be controlled with minimal base drive.
This device supports a collector-emitter voltage of up to 100 V and a continuous collector current of up to 12 A, making it suitable for demanding power control applications. Built-in base-emitter resistors simplify circuit design and enhance switching behavior. Housed in a TO-220 through-hole package, the BDW94C provides excellent thermal performance and supports the use of external heat sinks for high power dissipation. It is commonly used in complementary push-pull configurations with NPN counterparts (such as BDW93C), motor control circuits, audio amplifiers, power supplies, and industrial switching systems. |
