| Description | The HC-06 is a Bluetooth 2.0+EDR serial communication module designed for wireless data transmission using UART interface in embedded systems. It operates with a supply voltage range of 3.3V to 6V (logic level 3.3V) and supports default baud rate of 9600 bps (configurable up to 115200 bps). The module works in slave mode only and provides transparent serial communication over Bluetooth with a typical communication range of up to 10 meters (Class 2). It is based on CSR BC417 chipset and supports SPP (Serial Port Profile) for easy integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, PIC, and STM32. The device has low power consumption typically around 30–40 mA during communication and less than 10 mA in idle state. It includes onboard antenna, status LED, and simple AT command configuration. Operating temperature range is approximately -20°C to +75°C, and the module form factor allows easy integration into prototypes and embedded systems. It is widely used in wireless control, IoT devices, serial data transfer, robotics, and remote communication applications. |
