| Description | The WS2812E-V5/W is an intelligent addressable RGB LED that integrates a control IC and RGB LED chip into a single 5050 SMD package. It operates with a supply voltage range of approximately 3.8 V to 5.5 V and uses a single-wire serial communication protocol, allowing multiple LEDs to be cascaded and individually controlled.
Each LED contains an internal digital interface, signal reshaping circuit, and constant current driver, ensuring consistent color output and reliable data transmission across long LED chains. It supports 24-bit color depth (8 bits per channel), enabling over 16 million colors with smooth brightness control. The device includes an internal oscillator and latch circuit, reducing the need for external components and simplifying system design. With its integrated architecture and stable performance, the WS2812E-V5/W is widely used in LED strips, decorative lighting, display panels, gaming setups, and embedded systems requiring individually addressable RGB lighting. |
