| Description | The 24LC256-I/P is a 256 Kbit (32K × 8) serial EEPROM memory designed for non-volatile data storage applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of approximately 2.5 V to 5.5 V and communicates via a standard I²C (2-wire) interface with clock speeds up to 400 kHz. The device features a 64-byte page write buffer, allowing efficient data writing, and supports both random and sequential read operations. It includes hardware write-protect functionality and supports up to 1 million erase/write cycles with long data retention. With low power consumption (microamp-level standby current) and the ability to cascade multiple devices on the same bus, it is widely used in microcontroller systems, data logging, configuration storage, industrial electronics, and embedded applications requiring reliable non-volatile memory. |
