The SMAJ30A-E3/61 is a high-performance 400W 30V unidirectional TVS diode manufactured by Vishay General Semiconductor. Part of the TransZorb SMAJ series, this surface-mount transient voltage suppressor provides protection against voltage spikes, transient overvoltage events, and electrical surges. Its compact DO-214AC (SMA) package is suitable for high-density PCB designs and automated SMT assembly. The SMAJ30A-E3/61 features 400W peak pulse power dissipation with a 10/1000µs waveform, 30V reverse standoff voltage (VRWM), and a 33.3V to 36.8V breakdown voltage range (VBR). Additional electrical specifications include 48.4V maximum clamping voltage (VC) at 8.3A peak pulse current (IPP) and 1µA reverse leakage current. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C. Featuring unidirectional transient voltage suppression, the Vishay SMAJ30A-E3/61 is designed to protect sensitive semiconductor components against transient voltage events caused by inductive load switching and electrical disturbances. Its glass-passivated junction, fast response, and effective voltage clamping make it suitable for DC power supply protection, voltage spike suppression, MOSFET protection, IC protection, and industrial electronic circuits. The Vishay SMAJ30A-E3/61 uses a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package with two terminals, supporting automated pick-and-place manufacturing and lead-free reflow soldering. The device is RoHS compliant, classified as MSL 1, and supplied in standard 1800-piece tape-and-reel packaging. The SMAJ30A-E3/61 400W 30V unidirectional TVS diode is suitable for industrial electronics, embedded control systems, telecommunications equipment, DC line surge protection, power management circuits, voltage transient suppression, electronic interface protection, sensor circuits, computer electronics, and general-purpose overvoltage protection applications. |
