| Description | The AX5043-1-TW30 is a highly integrated ultra-low power RF transceiver IC developed by onsemi, designed for narrowband wireless communication in sub-1GHz frequency bands. It operates across a wide frequency range of 27MHz to 1050MHz, making it suitable for both licensed and unlicensed ISM band applications. Built as a single-chip transceiver solution, the device integrates both transmitter and receiver functions, supporting multiple modulation schemes including FSK, GFSK, MSK, GMSK, ASK, PSK, and AFSK, enabling flexible wireless protocol implementation. The AX5043-1-TW30 delivers a maximum output power of up to +16 dBm and offers excellent receiver sensitivity down to approximately -137 dBm, allowing long-range communication and robust signal performance even in noisy environments. Designed for energy-efficient systems, it operates from a low 1.8V to 3.6V supply voltage and features very low current consumption, with receive currents around 6.5mA to 11mA and transmit currents starting from approximately 7.5mA. The device includes an integrated RF synthesizer, power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, ADC, and communication controller, reducing external component requirements and simplifying RF system design. It supports SPI and UART interfaces for communication with host microcontrollers and includes advanced features such as packet handling, forward error correction (FEC), and wake-on-radio functionality, improving efficiency and reducing system power consumption. Encased in a compact 28-pin QFN surface-mount package, the AX5043-1-TW30 is optimized for high-density PCB layouts and reliable operation across industrial temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C. The AX5043-1-TW30 is widely used in IoT devices, smart metering systems, wireless sensor networks, building automation, security systems, and industrial RF communication applications, where low power consumption and long-range wireless connectivity are critical. |
