| Description | The TXS0108EPWR is an 8-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to facilitate seamless communication between devices operating at different voltage levels. It features two configurable power-supply rails: the A port operates with voltages ranging from 1.4 V to 3.6 V, while the B port accommodates voltages between 1.65 V and 5.5 V, allowing for flexible interfacing across various logic levels. The device supports high-speed data rates up to 110 Mbps for push-pull applications and up to 1.2 Mbps for open-drain applications. Notably, it does not require a direction-control signal, simplifying design implementation. The TXS0108EPWR includes an output-enable (OE) input; when driven low, all outputs are placed in a high-impedance state, effectively disconnecting the buses. Additionally, it offers robust electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, with ratings of ±2 kV for the Human Body Model on the A port and up to ±8 kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2 on the B port. These features make the TXS0108EPWR suitable for applications such as handsets, smartphones, tablets, and desktop PCs. |
