| Description | The THVD1500DR is a robust half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for industrial communication systems, operating from a single 4.5V to 5.5V supply. It supports data rates up to 500 kbps and complies with TIA/EIA-485A standards, enabling reliable long-distance differential communication. The device features high ESD protection up to ±8 kV IEC contact discharge and ±16 kV HBM, ensuring strong immunity in harsh environments. It provides a differential output voltage of typically 1.5V to 2V and low bus input current (<100 µA), with receiver hysteresis around 20–50 mV for improved noise immunity. The transceiver operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and includes low quiescent current (~440 µA typical). Packaged in SOIC-8, it is suitable for industrial automation, fieldbus networks, and distributed control systems. |
