| Description | The TTP223-BA6 is a compact and low-power capacitive touch sensor IC developed by Tontek, designed to replace traditional mechanical push buttons with a reliable touch interface. It supports single-key touch detection, making it ideal for simple user interface applications. The device operates within a wide supply voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V, allowing compatibility with various embedded systems and microcontrollers. It features ultra-low power consumption, typically around 1.5 µA in low-power mode, making it highly suitable for battery-powered applications. The TTP223-BA6 provides a stable and noise-immune touch detection mechanism, capable of detecting human touch through insulating materials such as plastic or glass. Sensitivity can be adjusted externally using capacitance (0–50 pF), enabling flexible design optimization. It supports configurable output modes via pin options, including active high/low output and toggle or momentary operation, allowing designers to adapt behavior according to application requirements. Additionally, it includes auto-calibration functionality, ensuring consistent performance over time and environmental changes. With a response time of approximately 60 ms (touch mode) and up to 220 ms in low-power mode, the IC ensures responsive yet stable operation. Housed in a small SOT-23-6 package, the TTP223-BA6 is widely used in applications such as touch switches, consumer electronics, home appliances, control panels, IoT devices, and human-machine interfaces (HMI) where reliable and maintenance-free touch input is required. |
