| Description | The TOF200C-VL53L0X is a compact laser-based distance measurement module built around the VL53L0X Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor from STMicroelectronics. It provides precise, real-time distance measurement by calculating the time it takes for emitted infrared light to reflect back from a target object. The module supports a measurement range from approximately 3 cm up to 200 cm, with a typical resolution of up to 1 mm under optimal conditions. Its laser-based sensing ensures accurate readings regardless of object color or ambient light conditions, making it superior to traditional IR distance sensors. Designed for easy integration, the TOF200C communicates via an I2C interface and supports programmable addressing, allowing multiple sensors to be used on the same bus. It operates with a supply voltage of 3V to 5V and typically consumes around 40 mA during operation. The module features a field of view of approximately 25° and includes additional capabilities such as basic gesture detection and interrupt output for event-driven applications.
