| Description | The DAC8568IAPWR is a high-precision 16-bit octal-channel digital-to-analog converter (DAC) developed by Texas Instruments, designed for applications requiring accurate multi-channel voltage output and low power consumption. It integrates eight independent DAC channels, enabling simultaneous or sequential analog signal generation in complex systems. This device features an integrated 2.5V precision internal reference with very low temperature drift of approximately 2ppm/°C, ensuring stable and accurate output over varying environmental conditions. The reference can also be used externally and supports up to 20mA source/sink capability. The DAC8568IAPWR operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and includes a rail-to-rail output buffer amplifier, allowing the output voltage to span close to the supply rails for maximum dynamic range. It utilizes a high-speed 3-wire serial interface (SPI, QSPI, Microwire compatible) with clock speeds up to 50MHz, enabling fast communication with microcontrollers and DSP systems. The device is optimized for precision applications with ultra-low glitch energy (~0.1nV·s) and monotonic performance across the full temperature range, ensuring smooth and accurate analog transitions. It also includes power-on reset functionality and multiple power-down modes, reducing current consumption to as low as 0.18µA in standby conditions. With typical power consumption around 1.25mA at 5V and less than 1µW in power-down mode, the DAC8568IAPWR is well suited for battery-powered and energy-efficient systems. Encapsulated in a compact 16-pin TSSOP surface-mount package, the DAC8568IAPWR is optimized for high-density PCB layouts while maintaining excellent analog performance.
