| Description | The CY8C4014LQI-421 is a compact, low-power 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller from the Infineon Technologies PSoC 4 4000 family, originally developed by Cypress Semiconductor. It combines programmable digital peripherals, analog functionality, and advanced capacitive touch sensing capabilities for embedded control and human-machine interface applications. The device features an ARM Cortex-M0 processor operating at up to 16MHz, together with 16KB Flash program memory and 2KB SRAM. Its flexible architecture supports compact embedded firmware while offering a wide 1.71V to 5.5V operating voltage range for battery-powered and standard logic-level applications. A key feature of the CY8C4014LQI-421 is its integrated CapSense capacitive touch sensing technology, which enables the implementation of touch buttons, sliders, and proximity-sensing user interfaces without conventional mechanical switches. The microcontroller also incorporates one analog comparator, 7-bit and 8-bit current DACs (IDACs), one Timer/Counter/PWM (TCPWM) block, and an I2C communication interface. Additional integrated functions include an internal oscillator, watchdog timer, power-on reset, and brown-out detection circuitry. The CY8C4014LQI-421 is supplied in a compact 16-pin QFN surface-mount package measuring 3 × 3mm, making it suitable for space-constrained PCB designs. It supports an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is manufactured using lead-free, RoHS-compliant packaging.
