| Description | The DRV8889QWRGERQ1 is a highly integrated bipolar stepper motor driver developed by Texas Instruments, specifically designed for automotive and industrial motion control applications. The DRV8889QWRGERQ1 features an advanced microstepping indexer with up to 1/256 step resolution, allowing smooth and precise motor motion while reducing vibration and noise. The device supports both STEP/DIR control interface and SPI communication, enabling flexible configuration, diagnostics, and daisy-chain capability for multi-device systems. It also incorporates Smart Tune™ decay technology and configurable PWM current regulation for optimized performance under varying load conditions. Designed for automotive reliability, the device is AEC-Q100 qualified and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It includes comprehensive protection features such as overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, stall detection, and open-load detection, ensuring safe and robust operation in harsh environments. The IC also offers low-power operation with a sleep mode current of approximately 2 µA, helping reduce system power consumption in standby conditions. Packaged in a compact 24-pin VQFN surface-mount package, the DRV8889QWRGERQ1 is optimized for space-constrained automotive and embedded designs while maintaining excellent thermal performance.
