| Description | The NE555P is a highly versatile precision timer integrated circuit originally developed for timing, pulse generation, and oscillator applications. It operates over a wide supply voltage range of approximately 4.5 V to 16 V and can be configured in monostable, astable, or bistable operating modes. The device is capable of generating accurate time delays and stable oscillations using external resistors and capacitors. It provides an output current capability of up to 200 mA, allowing it to directly drive relays, LEDs, and other loads. The NE555P includes two precision comparators, an SR flip-flop, a discharge transistor, and a voltage divider network internally. The timer can operate at frequencies ranging from a few millihertz up to several hundred kilohertz depending on the configuration. With its robust design and wide operating range, the NE555P is widely used in pulse generation, PWM circuits, timers, oscillators, and control applications in consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and educational projects. |
