| Description | The LM317T is a versatile adjustable linear voltage regulator designed to provide a stable and adjustable output voltage for a wide range of power supply applications. It operates with an input voltage up to approximately 40 V and can deliver output currents of up to 1.5 A with proper heat sinking. The output voltage can be adjusted from 1.25 V to 37 V using two external resistors, allowing flexible voltage regulation for different circuit requirements. The device features excellent line and load regulation, low output noise, and built-in protection mechanisms including current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area protection. Packaged in the robust TO-220 package, the LM317T is widely used in adjustable power supplies, battery chargers, voltage regulators for embedded systems, and various analog and power electronics applications. |
