The ADUM1201ARZ-RL7 is a high-performance 2-channel 2.5kVrms digital isolator IC manufactured by Analog Devices (ADI). Based on proprietary iCoupler magnetic isolation technology, this dual-channel galvanic isolator provides reliable electrical isolation between digital circuits without traditional optocouplers. It features two independent unidirectional channels operating in opposite directions, making it suitable for bidirectional digital communication interfaces. The Analog Devices ADUM1201ARZ-RL7 supports a 1Mbps maximum data rate, 2500Vrms isolation voltage, and independent supply voltages from 2.7V to 5.5V on each side of the isolation barrier. Key electrical specifications include 150ns maximum propagation delay, 40ns maximum pulse width distortion, 25kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity (CMTI), and approximately 10ns typical rise and fall times. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C. The ADUM1201 dual-channel digital isolator provides galvanic isolation, low-power CMOS operation, and compatibility with 3.3V and 5V digital logic systems. Its independent supply domains support digital level translation and help reduce ground-loop interference and common-mode noise. Typical applications include microcontroller isolation, UART communication isolation, low-speed SPI interfaces, industrial control systems, sensor interfaces, and data acquisition equipment. The ADUM1201ARZ-RL7 is supplied in an 8-pin narrow SOIC surface-mount package with a 3.90mm nominal body width and 1.27mm pin pitch. The component supports automated SMT assembly and is available in 1000-piece 7-inch tape-and-reel packaging. The ADUM1201ARZ-RL7 ordering option uses a RoHS-compliant package configuration.
