| Description | The LP5912-3.3DRVR is a high-performance ultra-low noise low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator developed by Texas Instruments, designed to deliver clean and stable power for sensitive analog and RF circuits. It provides a fixed 3.3V output voltage with a maximum output current of up to 500mA, making it ideal for medium-power precision applications. The device operates over a wide input voltage range of 1.6V to 6.5V, offering flexibility for both battery-powered and regulated supply systems. It features a very low dropout voltage of approximately 95mV at full load, ensuring efficient operation even when the input voltage is close to the output level. Engineered for noise-sensitive designs, the LP5912-3.3DRVR delivers extremely low output noise of around 12µVRMS and high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) up to 75dB at 1kHz, enabling clean power rails for high-performance analog, RF, and sensor circuits. Designed for simplicity, the device is stable with only 1µF ceramic input and output capacitors and does not require a noise bypass capacitor, reducing external component count and simplifying PCB design. Integrated protection features such as thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and reverse current protection ensure safe and reliable operation under fault conditions. The device operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for industrial environments. Encapsulated in a compact 6-pin WSON (2mm × 2mm) surface-mount package, the LP5912-3.3DRVR is optimized for space-constrained PCB layouts requiring high-performance low-noise regulation.
