| Description | The A3977SLPTR-T is a microstepping stepper motor driver IC integrating dual full-bridge DMOS outputs designed for bipolar stepper motor control. It operates over a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V for logic and up to 35V for motor supply, with output current capability up to ±2.5A per phase. The device supports multiple step modes including full-step, half-step, quarter-step, and sixteenth-step resolution, enabling smooth and precise motor control. It features fixed off-time PWM current regulation, adjustable current limit via external resistor, and built-in protection functions such as overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout. Typical switching frequency is around 30–50 kHz, and the device provides low RDS(on) outputs for efficient operation. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +85°C, and the exposed pad TSSOP-28 package ensures efficient heat dissipation, making it suitable for printers, CNC systems, robotics, and precision motion control applications. |
