| Description | The TCAN1044AVDRBRQ1 is a robust, automotive-grade CAN FD transceiver designed for demanding in-vehicle environments. It meets ISO 11898‑2:2016, supporting both classical CAN and CAN FD up to 5 Mbps (with simplified networks reaching 8 Mbps), and passes AEC‑Q100 Grade 1 qualification. It operates from a 4.5 V to 5.5 V VCC supply, with VIO allowing logic-level interfacing from 1.7 V to 5.5 V, making it compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers. The device boasts extensive fault protection—bus-fault protection up to ±58 V, receiver common-mode range ±12 V, undervoltage, thermal-shutdown, and a TXD dominant-timeout feature to prevent bus lock-up. It offers a standby mode with wake-on-CAN support and manages power-down gracefully (high-impedance bus/logic pins, glitch-free hot-plugging). Available in compact 8-pin SOIC, VSON-8, and SOT‑23 packages, it is optimized for minimal footprint and automated optical inspection. With typical 49 mA supply current and full operation from –40 °C to +150 °C junction temperature, the TCAN1044AVDRBRQ1 is ideal for automotive body controls, gateways, ADAS, and infotainment systems. |
