| Description | The BQ24352DSGR is an over-voltage and over-current charger front-end protection IC from Texas Instruments, designed to safeguard Li-ion batteries in portable applications. It continuously monitors input and battery voltages, as well as input current, to provide comprehensive protection. In the event of an input over-voltage condition, the IC turns off the internal power FET after a brief blanking period. Similarly, if the battery voltage rises to unsafe levels during charging, the IC disconnects power from the system. It also features over-current protection by turning off the output power if the input current exceeds the threshold for a specified duration. The integrated charging FET allows for regulation of charge voltage and current under host control. Additionally, the IC offers low-dropout (LDO) mode operation, providing a current-limited power supply for the host controller. Housed in a compact 8-pin WSON package (2 mm × 2 mm), the BQ24352DSGR operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for space-constrained and temperature-sensitive applications. |
