| Description | The L293DNE is a quadruple high-current half-H driver designed to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC motors, and stepper motors. It operates with a logic supply voltage of 4.5 V to 5.5 V and a motor supply voltage up to 36 V. The device integrates two full H-bridge drivers, allowing bidirectional control of two DC motors or one stepper motor. Each channel can deliver up to 600 mA continuous output current (1.2 A peak) and includes internal clamp diodes for inductive load protection. The L293DNE features TTL-compatible inputs, enable pins for motor control, and thermal shutdown protection. It is widely used in robotics, motor control circuits, and embedded systems requiring reliable dual H-bridge motor driving capability. |
