It independently monitors each cell for overvoltage conditions, triggering an output after a fixed delay if any cell exceeds the overvoltage threshold. The device offers a fixed overvoltage protection threshold adjustable between 3.85 V and 4.6 V, with delay options of 4 seconds or 6.5 seconds. It ensures high-accuracy overvoltage protection with a tolerance of ±10 mV. The BQ294582DRVR operates with a low supply current of approximately 1 µA when all cell voltages are below the protection threshold and features minimal leakage current per cell input, less than 100 nA. Housed in a compact 6-pin WSON package (2 mm × 2 mm), it is suitable for applications requiring secondary protection in Li-Ion battery packs, such as tablets, slates, power tools, notebook computers, and portable equipment. |
