| Description | The AM2302, also known as DHT22, is a high-precision digital temperature and humidity sensor that integrates a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor with a built-in microcontroller. It operates with a supply voltage range of 3.3 V to 6 V and communicates via a single-wire digital interface. The sensor provides humidity measurements from 0% to 100% RH with ±2–5% accuracy and temperature measurements from -40°C to +80°C with ±0.5°C accuracy. It features a typical sampling rate of 0.5 Hz (one reading every 2 seconds) and delivers calibrated digital output, eliminating the need for additional signal conditioning. The AM2302 is widely used in weather stations, HVAC systems, environmental monitoring, industrial control, and embedded systems requiring higher accuracy than basic sensors like the DHT11. |
