| Description | The AT90CAN128-16AU is a high-performance 8-bit AVR microcontroller featuring 128KB of in-system programmable Flash memory, 4KB SRAM, and 4KB EEPROM, designed for embedded applications requiring CAN communication. It operates at a maximum clock frequency of 16 MHz and supports a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. The device includes 53 programmable I/O pins and integrates a full CAN 2.0A/B controller with 15 message objects, enabling efficient automotive and industrial network communication. It also provides multiple communication interfaces such as USART, SPI, and I2C (TWI), along with a 10-bit ADC (8 channels), timers/counters (2×8-bit, 2×16-bit), PWM outputs, watchdog timer, and analog comparator. The MCU supports advanced interrupt handling, power-saving modes, and low power consumption with typical active current around a few milliamperes. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, and the TQFP-64 package enables compact surface-mount integration.
