| Description | The EC800MCNGD-I03-SGNSA is an ultra-compact LTE Category 1 wireless communication module from Quectel, specifically engineered for cost-sensitive IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. It combines reliable LTE connectivity, integrated multi-constellation GNSS positioning, rich communication interfaces, and a highly compact footprint, making it ideal for embedded systems where PCB space is limited. It supports LTE Cat 1 data rates of up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink. The module is designed using a compact LCC + LGA package measuring only 17.7 × 15.8 × 2.4 mm, allowing straightforward SMT assembly while maintaining compatibility with other Quectel EC800 family modules. Its small size and unified footprint simplify hardware migration between product variants and reduce overall PCB redesign effort. The SGNSA variant integrates multi-constellation GNSS supporting GPS, BeiDou (BDS), GLONASS, and Galileo, providing accurate positioning, navigation, and timing for location-aware IoT products without requiring an external GNSS receiver. This integration minimizes BOM cost while improving system reliability and reducing PCB area. The EC800MCNGD-I03-SGNSA supports numerous industrial interfaces including USB 2.0 High-Speed, UART, I²C, ADC, GPIO, dual USIM support (optional), PCM digital audio (optional), NET_STATUS, RESET, PWRKEY, and dedicated RF interfaces. Support for USB virtual COM drivers on Windows, Linux, and Android enables rapid software integration into embedded platforms. Operating from a 3.4V to 4.3V supply voltage (3.8V typical), the module incorporates extensive Internet protocol stacks and advanced software features including TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSL/TLS, DFOTA (Device Firmware Over-The-Air), Wi-Fi Scan positioning, and optional QuecOpen® support. These capabilities significantly simplify cloud connectivity and remote device management for industrial deployments. Designed for industrial IoT applications, the module provides low power consumption, excellent RF performance, and long-term operational reliability. Laser marking technology improves traceability while enhancing resistance to wear during automated manufacturing processes. Compatibility with the EC800E-CN, EC800G-CN, EC800N-CN, EC800K-CN, and EG800K module families further simplifies product upgrades and lifecycle management.
