Description The TPS62163DSGR from Texas Instruments is a highly integrated, synchronous 1 A step-down DC‑DC converter in an 8-pin WSON (DSG) package with exposed thermal pad. Operating from 3 V to 17 V input, it delivers a fixed 5 V output at up to 1 A, using high-frequency DCS‑Control™ switching (~2.25 MHz) for fast transient response and compact external components. It includes a power-save mode that seamlessly engages at light loads to maintain high efficiency with a low quiescent current (~17 µA), supports 100 % duty cycle at low VIN, and features power-good signaling, short-circuit and over-temperature protection, all in a compact 2 × 2 mm footprint rated from –40 °C to +125 °C.
