The HCPL-0211-500E is a high-performance 5MBd single-channel high-speed digital optocoupler manufactured by Broadcom (formerly Avago Technologies). This logic gate optoisolator provides reliable galvanic isolation between digital circuits using an AlGaAs LED and an integrated optical receiver. Its high-speed switching capability and compact SOIC-8 surface-mount package make it suitable for industrial communication, embedded electronics, and isolated digital control applications. The Broadcom HCPL-0211-500E supports a 5MBd maximum data rate, 3750Vrms isolation voltage, and 4.5V to 20V supply voltage. Key specifications include 300ns maximum propagation delay, 30ns typical rise time, 7ns typical fall time, and 25mA output current capability. The device features a typical 1.5V LED forward voltage and operates from -40°C to +85°C.
