| Description | The NRF24L01 module is a compact 2.4 GHz ISM band wireless transceiver module based on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF24L01+ IC, designed for low-power short-range communication. It operates within the 2.4–2.4835 GHz frequency range and supports selectable data rates of 250 kbps, 1 Mbps, and 2 Mbps using GFSK modulation. The module works with a supply voltage of 1.9 V to 3.6 V (typically 3.3 V), with transmit current around 11–13 mA and ultra-low standby/power-down currents in the µA/nA range, making it suitable for battery-powered systems. It features programmable output power up to 0 dBm and receiver sensitivity down to approximately -94 dBm, with typical communication range up to ~100 meters in open space depending on configuration. Mechanically, the module integrates the RF transceiver IC, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, passive components, and a PCB trace antenna on a compact board (typically ~15 × 29 mm). It exposes an 8-pin interface (VCC, GND, CE, CSN, SCK, MOSI, MISO, IRQ) and communicates via SPI interface up to 8–10 Mbps. The module is optimized for easy integration without RF design requirements and is widely used in IoT devices, wireless sensors, remote controls, home automation, and embedded communication systems. |
