| Description | The LM46002PWPR is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down (buck) regulator designed for wide input voltage applications, operating from 3.5V to 60V and delivering up to 2A continuous output current. It features an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V with high accuracy (±1%), making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and embedded systems. The device operates with a switching frequency adjustable from 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz and supports external synchronization for noise-sensitive applications. It integrates high-side and low-side MOSFETs, providing efficiency up to 95% and reducing external component count. The regulator includes advanced features such as programmable soft-start, power-good indicator, frequency synchronization, spread spectrum operation for EMI reduction, and internal compensation. Protection features include thermal shutdown, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and undervoltage lockout. Typical quiescent current is around 40 µA in light-load mode. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C, and the HTSSOP-16 package with exposed pad ensures good thermal performance, making it ideal for industrial power supplies, automotive systems, and distributed power architectures. |
