| Description | The ADS8321E/250 is a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter designed for high-speed and low-power data acquisition applications. It operates with a single supply voltage of 4.75V to 5.25V and supports a maximum sampling rate of 100 kSPS. The device features differential, pseudo-differential, and single-ended input configurations with an external reference voltage range from 0.5V to VCC/2. It provides a SPI/SSI-compatible serial interface for data output and achieves low power consumption of approximately 4.5 mW at full speed and less than 1 mW at 10 kSPS, with standby current as low as 3 µA. The ADC offers high precision with low noise and excellent linearity, operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, and is housed in a compact VSSOP-8 package suitable for portable instrumentation, industrial control, and remote data acquisition systems. |
