| Description | The NCP2890DMR2G is a low-power Class-AB mono audio power amplifier designed for portable and battery-powered applications, capable of delivering up to 1.08W output power into an 8Ω load at a 5V supply. It operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.2V to 5.5V, making it suitable for mobile and low-voltage systems. The device features low total harmonic distortion (THD) around 0.04% and high PSRR, allowing direct battery connection without additional regulation. It supports both differential and single-ended inputs and provides an output current capability up to approximately 500 mA. The amplifier includes integrated “pop-and-click” noise reduction circuitry, thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and ultra-low shutdown current mode (nanoamp range), ensuring reliable and efficient operation. Typical quiescent current is around 1.5–1.7 mA. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, and the compact MSOP-8 package enables space-saving PCB design, making it ideal for portable audio devices, wireless communication equipment, and embedded sound applications. |
