Description ​The VIPER06LSTR is an offline converter from STMicroelectronics VIPerPlus family, designed for energy-efficient power conversion in applications such as home appliances, power metering, and LED drivers. It features an 800 V avalanche-rugged power section, enabling direct powering from rectified mains without the need for an auxiliary bias winding. The device operates with a fixed frequency of approximately 60 kHz, utilizing pulse-width modulation (PWM) with frequency jittering to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI). Additional features include adjustable overcurrent limiting, on-board soft-start, safe auto-restart after fault conditions, and hysteretic thermal shutdown. The VIPER06LSTR is housed in a compact 10-pin SSOP package, suitable for space-constrained designs. ​
