| Description | The ADM2481BRWZ-RL7 is a half-duplex isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver utilizing iCoupler® magnetic isolation technology, providing galvanic isolation up to 2500 Vrms. It supports data rates up to 500 kbps and operates with supply voltages from 3.0V to 5.5V on the logic side and typically 5V on the bus side. The device integrates one driver and one receiver with differential I/O, featuring slew-rate limited outputs to reduce EMI and reflections. It offers high common-mode transient immunity of at least 25 kV/µs and input impedance around 96 kΩ, allowing up to 256 nodes on the bus. The transceiver includes fail-safe receiver operation, low propagation delay (~250 ns), and ESD protection (±2 kV HBM). Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, and the wide-body SOIC-16 package ensures compliance with isolation spacing requirements, making it suitable for industrial communication, building automation, and isolated fieldbus systems. |
