| Description | The DRV10983PWPR is a highly integrated three-phase sensorless BLDC motor driver developed by Texas Instruments, designed for efficient and low-noise control of brushless DC motors. It integrates power MOSFETs and control circuitry within a single chip, minimizing external components and simplifying system design. This device supports a supply voltage range of approximately 8V to 28V and delivers up to 2A continuous output current, making it suitable for fan, pump, and appliance motor applications. It uses a sensorless back-EMF (BEMF) control algorithm with sinusoidal commutation to reduce acoustic noise and improve efficiency. The DRV10983PWPR offers flexible control through PWM, analog, or I²C interface options, allowing easy integration with microcontrollers and system controllers. It also provides tachometer (FG) output for speed feedback and supports programmable motor parameters via internal registers and EEPROM. An integrated step-down regulator (5V or 3.3V) is included to power internal logic or external components, reducing BOM cost and improving efficiency.
