| Description | The SN74LVC2T45DCTR is a compact dual-bit dual-supply bus transceiver with configurable voltage-level translation developed by Texas Instruments, designed for bidirectional logic-level shifting between mixed-voltage systems. It supports flexible interfacing in embedded applications where different logic domains must communicate reliably. The device features a fully configurable dual-rail architecture, allowing both VCCA and VCCB to operate anywhere from 1.65V to 5.5V. This makes it suitable for voltage translation between common logic rails such as 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V. The SN74LVC2T45DCTR includes direction control and 3-state outputs, enabling controlled bidirectional data flow in bus-oriented designs. It also provides VCC isolation, so if either supply rail is at ground, both ports enter a high-impedance state for safer system behavior. With low power consumption and support for high-speed data translation, the device is well suited for communication interfaces, control buses, and general-purpose digital signal translation. It also supports Ioff partial-power-down operation, helping prevent back-drive current when one side of the system is powered down. Housed in a compact 8-pin SSOP surface-mount package, the SN74LVC2T45DCTR is optimized for space-constrained PCB layouts and automated assembly. The SN74LVC2T45DCTR is widely used in applications such as microcontroller interfaces, FPGA and ASIC systems, SPI and GPIO level shifting, industrial control electronics, and mixed-voltage digital designs. |
