| Description | The MAX7219CWG is a compact serially interfaced LED display driver designed to control up to eight 7-segment displays or an 8×8 LED matrix. It operates with a supply voltage range of 4 V to 5.5 V and integrates internal multiplex scan circuitry, segment drivers, digit drivers, and an optional BCD code-B decoder. The device communicates through a simple SPI-compatible serial interface using three control lines (DIN, CLK, and LOAD), enabling efficient microcontroller interfacing. The MAX7219CWG includes a programmable digital intensity control for brightness adjustment and a scan-limit register for flexible display configuration. It provides constant-current LED drive, minimizing external components and ensuring uniform brightness across all segments.
