| Description | The CY7C68013A-128AXI is an industrial-temperature EZ-USB FX2LP USB 2.0 peripheral controller, originally developed by Cypress Semiconductor and now part of the Infineon Technologies product portfolio. It combines an enhanced 8051 microcontroller, integrated USB transceiver, and programmable data interfaces for high-speed embedded USB applications. Supporting USB 2.0 high-speed communication at up to 480Mbps, the device incorporates a USB serial interface engine, programmable endpoints, and flexible FIFO buffering. Its 8-bit enhanced 8051 CPU operates at up to 48MHz and includes 16KB internal code/data RAM. The ROMless architecture supports firmware loading through USB or an external EEPROM. The CY7C68013A-128AXI features a General Programmable Interface (GPIF) and a programmable Slave FIFO interface, enabling efficient data transfer between USB and external devices such as FPGAs, DSPs, imaging sensors, and embedded controllers. The 128-pin TQFP variant provides 40 programmable I/O pins, an 8-bit or 16-bit external 8051 address/data bus, an I2C interface, and USART communication with serial debugging support. These features provide additional flexibility for external memory interfacing and industrial embedded system development. The device operates from a 3.0V to 3.6V supply voltage and supports an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is supplied in a 128-pin TQFP surface-mount package with a 14 × 20mm body and 0.50mm pin pitch. Typical applications include industrial USB data acquisition systems, machine vision equipment, industrial cameras, FPGA-to-USB interfaces, digital instrumentation, imaging equipment, USB peripheral adapters, and high-speed embedded communication systems.
