| Description | The EG91EFB-512-SNND is a compact LTE Category 1 cellular communication module from Quectel, engineered for industrial Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M), telemetry, smart metering, asset tracking, security systems, and embedded communication applications. The module combines reliable LTE connectivity with integrated multi-constellation GNSS positioning, making it an excellent solution for devices requiring both wireless communication and location awareness. Supporting LTE Cat 1 technology, the module delivers download speeds of up to 10 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5 Mbps. It also maintains backward compatibility with UMTS/WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, ensuring dependable operation in regions where LTE coverage is unavailable. LTE Cat 1 provides an ideal balance between bandwidth, power consumption, and deployment cost for industrial IoT products. It supports standard AT commands together with TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, MQTT, PPP, SSL/TLS, SMS, voice, and firmware update capabilities, enabling rapid integration into cloud-connected embedded systems. Operating from a 3.3V to 4.3V supply voltage, the EG91EFB-512-SNND is optimized for low-power operation while maintaining reliable performance in industrial environments. Its compact 29 × 25 × 2.2 mm LGA package supports automated SMT assembly, and the industrial operating temperature range of -35°C to +75°C makes it suitable for demanding applications. The module is supported by drivers for Linux, Android, and Windows and is compatible with a wide range of ARM processors, embedded Linux platforms, industrial controllers, and custom microcontroller-based systems.
