| Description | The SI8421BB-D-ISR is a high-speed dual-channel digital isolator developed by Skyworks Solutions, designed to provide reliable galvanic isolation for digital signal transmission in industrial and high-noise environments. It utilizes capacitive coupling technology to achieve robust isolation while maintaining high data throughput and low latency. This device supports data rates up to 150Mbps and features a propagation delay of approximately 9.5ns, enabling fast and precise signal transfer in high-speed communication systems. It includes two unidirectional channels (1 forward / 1 reverse), making it suitable for point-to-point isolated communication interfaces. The SI8421BB-D-ISR provides a high isolation voltage rating of 2500Vrms, ensuring strong protection between different voltage domains and preventing ground loop issues. It also offers excellent common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of around 25kV/µs, maintaining signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. The device operates within a flexible supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, allowing compatibility with both low-voltage and standard logic systems such as microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs. Its architecture ensures stable operation across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, supporting industrial-grade applications.
