| Description | The ADM2687EBRIZ is a fully integrated signal and power isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver utilizing iCoupler® and isoPower® technology, providing galvanic isolation up to 5000 Vrms and eliminating the need for an external isolated power supply. It operates from a single 3.3V or 5V supply and supports data rates up to 500 kbps, with typical propagation delay around 200–700 ns. The device features high common-mode transient immunity of at least 25 kV/µs and robust ±15 kV ESD protection, ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. It integrates one differential driver and one receiver with half-duplex communication capability, and includes built-in protections such as current limiting and thermal shutdown. Typical supply current is around 55 mA, and the device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The wide-body SOIC-16 package provides reinforced insulation spacing, making it suitable for industrial automation, fieldbus networks, and isolated communication systems. |
