| Description | The SI8662BD-B-ISR is a high-performance 6-channel digital isolator developed by Skyworks Solutions, designed to provide reliable galvanic isolation for high-speed digital communication in industrial and automotive systems. It utilizes advanced capacitive coupling isolation technology, delivering superior performance compared to traditional optocouplers. This device supports high data rates up to 150Mbps with a propagation delay of approximately 10–13ns, enabling fast and low-latency signal transmission across isolation barriers. It features a unidirectional channel configuration (4 forward / 2 reverse), suitable for complex multi-signal communication systems. The SI8662BD-B-ISR provides a high isolation voltage rating of 5000Vrms and strong common-mode transient immunity of at least 35kV/µs, ensuring stable operation in electrically noisy environments and preventing ground loop issues. Operating over a wide supply voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, the device is compatible with various logic systems including microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs. It maintains reliable performance across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for harsh industrial conditions. The isolator features Schmitt-trigger inputs, low pulse width distortion (~4.5ns), and fast rise/fall times (~2.5ns), ensuring clean signal transitions and accurate timing performance in high-speed applications.
