| Description | The XL4015E1 is a high-efficiency PWM step-down (buck) DC-DC converter developed by XLSEMI. It operates with an input voltage range of approximately 8 V to 36 V and provides an adjustable output voltage from about 1.25 V to 32 V using an external resistor divider. The regulator is capable of delivering up to 5 A output current and operates at a fixed switching frequency around 180 kHz, enabling efficient power conversion with relatively small external components. The device integrates an internal power MOSFET, oscillator, and frequency compensation circuitry, allowing simple implementation with only a few external components such as an inductor, diode, and capacitors. It features high efficiency (up to about 96% depending on conditions) and includes protection functions such as current limiting, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection. The XL4015E1 is widely used in DC-DC power supplies, battery chargers, LED drivers, industrial electronics, and embedded systems requiring high-current step-down voltage regulation. |
