| Description | The MC20CE-04-SNN is a compact Quad-Band GSM/GPRS cellular communication module with integrated multi-constellation GNSS from Quectel. Designed for industrial Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M), wearable devices, asset tracking, vehicle telematics, and security applications, it combines reliable 2G wireless communication with high-performance satellite positioning in a highly integrated surface-mount package. The module supports GSM/GPRS data rates of up to 85.6 kbps for both uplink and downlink communications. The module operates on Quad-Band GSM/GPRS networks (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), enabling worldwide deployment wherever 2G infrastructure remains available. It integrates comprehensive TCP/IP networking capabilities, including TCP, UDP, PPP, FTP, HTTP, and SMTP, allowing developers to build connected IoT products without requiring an external communication processor. Integrated multi-constellation GNSS supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS, providing fast positioning, improved tracking sensitivity, and excellent navigation accuracy. The module incorporates an internal LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), high-sensitivity GNSS receiver, and advanced positioning technologies such as EPO™, enabling faster time-to-first-fix and reliable operation even in challenging environments. The MC20CE-04-SNN provides a comprehensive collection of interfaces including UART, USB, I²C, PCM audio, ADC, GPIO, SIM card interface, antenna connections, NETLIGHT, RESET, and PWRKEY. It supports standard AT commands, voice calls, SMS messaging, embedded TCP/IP networking, and optional Bluetooth 3.0/4.0 functionality on supported variants, simplifying integration into embedded systems and industrial controllers. Operating from a 3.3V to 4.6V supply voltage (4.0V nominal), the module is optimized for low-power operation while maintaining excellent RF performance. The compact 18.7 × 16.0 × 2.1 mm LCC package reduces PCB area by approximately 40% compared with traditional GSM + GNSS solutions, making it ideal for space-constrained products. The industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ensures reliable performance in demanding environments. The module supports firmware upgrades, remote management, and long-term industrial deployment while remaining compatible with standard embedded operating systems and microcontroller platforms. Its mature GSM/GPRS architecture provides a proven solution for applications where LTE connectivity is unnecessary or unavailable.
