| Description | The ADS1220IPWR is a precision 24-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter designed for high-resolution measurement applications such as sensor interfaces and industrial instrumentation. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V and integrates a low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains up to 128, allowing accurate measurement of low-level signals. The device supports programmable data rates from 20 SPS up to 2000 SPS and achieves effective resolution up to 23 bits with input-referred noise as low as 17 nV RMS at low data rates. It features differential and single-ended inputs, SPI-compatible serial interface, and low power consumption typically around 300 µA in active mode and less than 1 µA in standby. The ADC includes an internal voltage reference, temperature sensor, and digital filter, reducing external component requirements. It provides excellent accuracy with ±0.001% typical INL and high common-mode rejection. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C, and the TSSOP-16 package enables compact design, making it suitable for weigh scales, pressure sensors, industrial automation, and precision data acquisition systems. |
