| Description | The CY8C4245AXI-483 is a versatile, low-power 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller from the Infineon Technologies PSoC 4 4200 family, originally developed by Cypress Semiconductor. It combines programmable analog and digital peripherals with integrated capacitive touch sensing for embedded control and human-machine interface applications. The device features an ARM Cortex-M0 processor operating at up to 48MHz, together with 32KB Flash program memory and 4KB SRAM. Its wide 1.71V to 5.5V operating voltage range supports low-voltage and conventional embedded electronic systems. The CY8C4245AXI-483 integrates CapSense capacitive touch sensing technology, enabling touch buttons, sliders, and proximity-sensitive controls without mechanical switches. It also supports direct segment LCD drive for applications requiring compact display interfaces. Its analog resources include a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC operating at up to 1MSPS, two operational amplifiers, and two low-power analog comparators. The programmable digital architecture provides four Universal Digital Blocks (UDBs) for implementing custom logic and peripheral functions. The microcontroller offers 36 programmable GPIO pins, four Timer/Counter/PWM (TCPWM) blocks, and two configurable Serial Communication Blocks (SCBs) supporting I2C, SPI, and UART communication. The CY8C4245AXI-483 is supplied in a 44-pin TQFP surface-mount package measuring 10 × 10mm with a 0.80mm pin pitch. It supports an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and features lead-free, RoHS-compliant packaging. Typical applications include capacitive touch control panels, household appliances, industrial automation, smart home devices, sensor interfaces, LCD display controllers, consumer electronics, and embedded human-machine interface systems.
